Who is The Non-Elite Runner?

Alexander

I can't believe I'm a runner!  I never had an interest in running because I thought it was so boring.  I'm used to playing sports like soccer and tennis that are more interactive and involves a whole lot more skill than just putting your two feet in front of the other.  But of course, now I know that running is much more involved than that and I have really come to enjoy and respect all types of different running distances.

I am by no means an expert on running and everyday I'm learning something new which I hope to share with you.  With only two half marathons and three 5K's to my name, I am truly a novice and just getting started on my running journey.

I live in Miami, Florida with my wife and Editor-in-Chief, Jeanette (a three-time marathoner) and with no kids and no pets, we have been able to find the time to combine our hobbies of writing, photography and running to create this blog.

I started the Non-Elite Runner's Blog to motivate me to continue running and to document my experiences.  I hope I can inspire non-runner's to get out there and start running and to connect with all of the others who are like me - average, moderately slow, beginning runners or as I like to call myself - a non-elite.

My blogs are meant to be entertaining, informative and light hearted and if they also happen to inspire, I'll take that too.

Until the next blister, adios!
